pages_manage_posts Approved After Incomplete Screencasts (2026 Case Study)
The founder of a Facebook Page posting product had already been turned down more than once on the same write path. The app schedules and publishes posts for Page admins who create or approve the copy inside the product. They hired us because another empty test demo would not fix a recording that never showed a real post land on the Page. This pages_manage_posts approved result is that pass: Meta marked the posting set approved on 14 September 2026. If your scheduler can aim a draft at a Page but App Review still cannot see create, approve, and publish, start here.
Approved
pages_manage_posts, pages_show_list, and pages_read_engagement — each a new request.
Renewed
public_profile in the same submission. Not a new posting permission.
14 September 2026
Submitted and marked submission approved. The posting path finally showed on screen.
What the Page posting product needed
A calendar UI is not enough. Reviewers need the live product: login, Page selection, a human-authored or human-approved post, and that post sitting on the Facebook Page. The Permissions Reference is the list that recording has to cover for a pages manage posts approved package.
This job asked for three new rows that travel together on a Graph publish path:
pages_manage_posts— create, edit, and delete a post on a Page the person manages.pages_show_list— so the person can pick which Page to publish to.pages_read_engagement— so the app can read the Page content it just published.
public_profile was already on the app and only had to renew. No messaging scope and no ads scope sat in this decision. Instagram publishing, if needed later, is a separate recording and a separate review.
The founder needed a pages_manage_posts approved screen — a real pages_manage_posts approved path, not another rewrite of the same calendar video. We refused to treat a toast that said “scheduled” as proof. We needed a Page admin write or approve the post, the app publish it, and the same post visible on the Page.
Why the earlier recordings kept failing
The real failure cause was not a missing Business Manager toggle. The product could already aim a post at a Facebook Page. What Meta could not verify was the write permission in use. Earlier packages leaned on an empty or test demo: a queue, a placeholder Page, or a screencast that jumped from composer to “done” without the create → approve → publish path on camera.
A facebook page posting permission review fails that way when the recording never shows a person writing the post, approving it, and then the same post sitting on the Page. That is a proof gap for pages_manage_posts, not a verdict that schedulers are banned. A hosted share window is a different mechanism entirely — the person confirms inside Meta’s UI, and your server never uses a Page access token — so it does not demonstrate this permission either.
Resubmitting the same incomplete screencast can lead to an App Review cooldown of about 7 days. That figure is widely reported. It is not printed on this approval screen. The longer diagnosis of common gaps lives in the pages_manage_posts app review guide. This page is only what changed on this product.
What we fixed before App Review
The fix was the recording path, not a different API. We walked the live product until every beat a reviewer scores was a click we had just made:
- Sign in and grant the Page permissions on a reachable site.
- Select a Page the test admin manages (
pages_show_liston screen). - Create the post in the product, then approve it when the product requires approval.
- Publish through the Graph path the app already had.
- Open the Page and show the same post live — the beat that turns a claim into a pages_manage_posts approved package.
We did not record an empty test demo and narrate over the hole. We did not swap in a share dialog and label it API mode. The use-case notes for each permission matched that one publishing job: write the post, list the Page, read what just went live. That is how a pages manage posts approved submission differs from another calendar-only video.
Developer Policies text last updated 3 February 2026 still expects the app to follow the Developer Docs for allowed usage. We did not invent policy section numbers for this case. The evidence was the live create / approve / publish path.
The 14 September result
Meta marked the submission approved. Under new requests, three rows came back Approved:
pages_manage_postspages_show_listpages_read_engagement
Existing access showed public_profile Renewed. That is the pages_manage_posts approved card this case is about. A pages manage posts approved package on a scheduler looks like this when create, approve, and publish are all on camera. The mechanism did not change into a different product. The reviewer could finally see the posting path the app already had.
Other published outcomes live on the case studies page. They are different products. Do not treat this Facebook Page posting result as proof for Instagram publish, Lead Ads, or a data-use form.
If your Page scheduler is stuck on the same gap
If your product publishes Facebook Page posts for users, and App Review keeps failing because the video never shows create, approve, and the post on the Page, this is exactly the kind of Meta App Review project we handle. Send the rejection screen and one still of a post that actually landed on the Page — or say honestly that the last demo never got that far. Do not upload another empty test demo.
The managed path is the Facebook App Review service. Neighboring Page work is covered in the pages_manage_posts app review guide. A pages_manage_posts approved outcome on one scheduler is not a template for a dialog-only app or a silent cron that invents its own copy.

Which permissions were in this pages_manage_posts approved decision?
On 14 September 2026 Meta approved pages_manage_posts, pages_show_list, and pages_read_engagement as new requests — the pages_manage_posts approved set for this Page posting product. public_profile was renewed in the same submission.
What was wrong with the earlier screencasts?
They were incomplete or empty-test demos: a queue or toast without a person creating the post, approving it, and then seeing that post on the Facebook Page. Reviewers could not verify the write permission.
Does this pages_manage_posts approved result cover Instagram?
No. Instagram publishing is a different permission and a different recording. This decision was only the Facebook Page posting set.
Will copying this video get the same approval?
No. The test Page and the composer have to be yours. A share dialog, or a video that never publishes, is still a rejection even if the notes sound the same.
If your SaaS needs to publish posts to Facebook Pages for your users, this is exactly the kind of Meta App Review project we handle. A pages_manage_posts approved path starts with a recording that shows the post on the Page — not another empty calendar demo.
