Why Tech Verification Is Required

Tech Provider Verification is Meta’s way of confirming that a business is a genuine software or technology provider managing messaging (such as the WhatsApp Business Platform) on behalf of other businesses. It is required before a solution provider can onboard and manage client WhatsApp Business Accounts at scale, use Embedded Signup, or be recognized as a trusted Tech Provider — without it, client onboarding and access to solution-provider features stay limited.

A Compatible Website Is Required

Meta requires an active, working website that matches your business information and clearly reflects that you operate as a technology/software provider — it cannot be under construction, geo-locked, or unrelated to the business name used for verification.

Your domain or a subdomain can be parked (via CNAME or A record you add in your DNS) on our own software, where a ready-made, fully SaaS-compatible homepage is already built.

This gives you a Tech Verification–compatible website so the application can be prepared and submitted for approval without waiting on your own site to be built.

Requirements

What’s Required for Tech Verification

These must be in place before a Tech Provider Verification application can be submitted.

  • • Meta Business Verification completed. Your business must already be verified in Meta Business Manager.
  • • A Tech Verification–compatible website. Active, matching your business details, not geo-locked. A parked SaaS-style homepage (see above) can be used if you don’t already have one.
  • • Full Admin access in Meta Business Manager. Admin-level access to the Business Portfolio is required to complete the verification process.
  • • Admin role in the Facebook App. Admin access to the specific Facebook App connected to the WhatsApp Business Platform integration.
  • • Approved permissions on the Facebook App. The app must already have passed App Review with Advanced Access to the relevant WhatsApp Business permissions (whatsapp_business_messaging and whatsapp_business_management). Tech Provider Verification is completed only after the app is approved — it cannot be requested directly on a brand-new, unreviewed app. If the app isn’t approved yet, App Review is completed first, and Tech Verification is submitted right after.
If your business is not yet Meta-verified, that verification must be completed first and is billed separately — it is not included in the Tech Verification service fee.
